MOGAS/SECUREMAX Conversions

In addition to the routine service of MOGAS Valves, we can also carry out the conversion of Securemax Valves to accept MOGAS Trim. We are currently doing this work for Lihir on ten inch, eight inch and six inch valves and Porgera on six inch valves. All of these valves are 300 Ansi Class. In order to achieve this conversion, Mogas carry out a detailed Engineering Evaluation of each Size, Material and Pressure Class and produce a set of drawings which detail all machining, welding and modification necessary to obtain a first class result. The finished conversion accepts the same spare parts as an original Mogas Valve of the same Pressure Class, Material and Size.

Mogas has also completed an Engineering Evaluation for the Cawse ten inch Class 900 Securemax Valves. This conversion has come about as a natural consequence of the inability of the Securemax factory to adequately supply spare parts for their customers. Other repair organisations were trying to supply parts and also modify the original Securemax design to incorporate some of the proven Mogas features. These "after market" modifications were largely unsuccessful which was the catalyst for many of the end users to look at having Mogas carry out factory modifications which utilised a large proportion of the Mogas superior technology.

As a Mogas Certified Repair Centre, Optimum Control has access to all the Factory Engineering Drawings which allows us to complete the repairs we carry out to as-new condition. At the completion of the repair, a Pressure Test is carried out to MSS-SP-61 and a Report is produced for each valve.
